When is the Fortnite Winterfest 2021 start date?
When does this year's Fortnite Christmas event start? Well, dear reader, it has already begun! Winterfest 2021 launched in Fortnite this Thursday, 16th December 2021 and you should be able to access it now.
What time does Fortnite Winterfest start?
The Fortnite Winterfest 2021 start time occurred at 9am ET on 16th December for players in the USA.
Here in the UK, that means that Fortnite Winterfest 2021 began at 2pm BST on 16th December. So it really is out now!
When does Fortnite Winterfest end?
Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite Winterfest will end at 9am ET on 6th January 2022 for American players.
Again, from a British perspective, this means that Fortnite Winterfest will end at 2pm BST on 6th January for players in the UK.

What is Fortnite Winterfest 2021?

The season of goodwill will be presided over by an AI who will be driving around the map in a giant truck - Fortnite's very own big-rig Santa! You will know Sgt. Winter's Winterfest vehicle when you see it as not only is it huge but it is lit up for all to see! And it looks pretty badass, we have to say.
This year, Sgt. Winter will bring a new Winterfest Quest every day from 16th December to 6th January. You'll find all of these in the Quests tab when they arrive, and you'll be able to complete them until the overarching event ends.
If you complete seven Winterfest Quests, you'll unlock the Snowmando Board Glider. And if you finish 10 Winterfest quests, you'll be rewarded with the the Ffrosty Back Bling.
Also, Winterfest Lodge will be reopening in Fortnite, and there will be a new present at this location every day for the duration of the event. These gifts include two Outfits, two Pickaxes, two Wraps, a Glider, a Contrail, an Emote, a Lobby Track, a Loading Screen, an Emoticon, a Spray and a Banner.
The two skins at Winterfest Lodge are Krisabelle and Polar Peely (both pictured above). You'll unlock Krisabelle when you open the six presents in front of her, and Polar Peely will be available "after his giftbox thaws".

Fortnite Winterfest 2021 items
The following items (pictured above) have been un-vaulted and returned to the Item Shop as part of Fortnite's 2021 Winterfest:

You'll also receive these treats if you spend two hours playing Winterfest content in Fortnite Creative (using the dedicated Winterfest tab on the menu):
- Ol’ Cracky Emoticon
- Llamistletoe Spray
- Merry Marauder Banner
- 2022 New Year’s Banner
Active Fortnite Crew subscribers will also receive the Golden Look Board Glider just for logging into Fortnite during Winterfest 2021.
Fortnite Winterfest 2021 skins
A number of Fortnite Winterfest 2021 skins have been announced, and this is how to unlock each one of them that Epic Games has mentioned so far:
- Blizzabelle (pictured above): Log into Fortnite on PC through the Epic Games Store at any point during the event, and redeem this skin from the Item Shop
- Krisabelle: Open the six presents in front of her at Winterfest Lodge
- Polar Peely: Go to Winterfest Lodge and open presents until his giftbox thaws
- Spider-Man (No Way Home) Outfits: Purchase in the Item Shop
- MJ (No Way Home) Outfits: Purchase in the Item Shop
- Cozy Knit Jonesy (pictured right at the top of this page): Purchase in the Item Shop
There will also be more items cycling in and out of the Item Shop throughout Winterfest, so it's probably worth checking back every day if you can!
