Fortnite Chapter 3 is officially here, along with a new map, new skins like Spider-Man, and more.

We're looking at a whole new string of seasons, events, skins, and probably more marketing collaborations and crossovers than you can shake a pickaxe at. We've combed through everything Fortnite Chapter 3 has to offer so you know before booting the game up.

When does Fortnite Chapter 3 start?

Fortnite Chapter 3 is expected to start after downtime following The End event on December 4. So presumably, Fortnite Chapter 3 will start sometime on December 5.

When Chapter 2 arrived, Fortnite became a black hole for a day after a series of dimension-shattering rocket launches sucked everything into oblivion. This is more or less a cheeky way of performing huge amounts of maintenance, which is obviously needed when shifting to a brand new map, updating game features, and whatever else Epic is planning. Following the finale of Chapter 2, players were left floating in the ocean.

Watch the Chapter 2 finale

As fans predicted, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made his debut during The End. You can watch the full Chapter 2 finale above.

If you need the Cliff Notes version, the Foundation has rescued Jonesy from the clutches of the Imagined Order and Dr. Sloane. Shortly after, he removed his helmet to reveal his identity as The Rock, though it's definitely Rock playing a character and not appearing as his real-world self.

After that, the Foundation/Rock and his pals (including the Scientist) rescued a number of Fortnite players and led them underground. Shortly after, a flood causes players to be washed up out into the ocean to witness the island flipping and revealing a brand new map. The Cube Queen also presumably was defeated, as she can be seen and heard screaming in defeat as the island capsizes on her.

Fortnite Chapter 3 battle pass

It would be weird for Fortnite to not include a battle pass for the inaugural season of Chapter 3, so of course they've got one ready. The official Polish Fortnite YouTube channel jumped the gun and posted its trailer early, and although it was quickly taken down players had already saved copies. Now Epic has posted an official trailer.

Yep, those are Spider-Man skins, as well as characters from Gears of War—Marcus Fenix and Kait Diaz (though it looks like Gears characters will be an item shop offering, not in the battle pass). Looks like the Foundation will be available as a skin as well.

As is customary, the Fortnite Chapter 3 battle pass also features a few original skins for players to earn. Check out the gallery below.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will have its US release on December 17, which makes it an obvious tie-in.

Fortnite Chapter 3 gameplay changes

fortnite chapter 3

Two of the biggest gameplay changes coming to Fortnite Chapter 3 are sliding and web-swinging.

The sliding mechanic looks pretty similar to what you'd see in Apex Legends, great for traversing down hills and minimizing your hitbox.

Starting on December 11, players will also be able to swing high in the sky using Spider-Man's web-swinging gloves, which can be acquired like other items around the map. Not sure how rare those will be just yet, but depending on how quickly you can swing around, they could be a major meta changer.

So that's at least two new movement mechanics coming in Chapter 3. There's also a campsite, where players can apparently heal up and store items between matches.

Oh, and it seems like trees fall down instead of disappearing when they get chopped down. So that's nice.

One big change is that players will have more ways to earn battle pass XP outside of the battle royale mode. Typically, if you wanted to earn battle pass stars/XP, you were restricted to playing in one of the normal battle royale modes, or the 50 vs. 50 Team Rumble. Presumably, this means you can earn XP in alternate modes like Creative and LTMs. That will be great for players who want to earn higher-level skins, but don't have the interest or skill for intensely competitive multiplayer stuff.

Here's some additional gameplay changes in Fortnite Chapter 3:

  • New weapons and tools, including a Slurp Juice sprinkler that you can deploy around your teammates.
  • Some sort of "Victory Crown" that players can earn and possibly keep between matches.
  • "Guzzle Juice"
  • Wildlife animals return once again, including sharks, wolves, chickens, toads, boars, and crows.
  • The Quadcrusher ATV returns.
  • "Medmist Assist" healing item.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Map - Flipped

Fortnite chapter 3 map

Above you'll see the official mini-map for Fortnite Chapter 3. As you can see, the number of biomes has been significantly diversified. Much like Chapter 1's later seasons, we actually have strictly defined regions with snow, sand, or greenery. In fact, probably because Chapter 3 is launching in December, just as the holidays ramp up, most of the map is in fact covered in snow and bushes are adorned in Christmas lights.

Here's the key POIs you'll want to know:

  • Camp Cuddle
  • Logjam Lumberyard
  • Shifty Shafts
  • Sleepy Sound
  • Coney Crossroads
  • The Daily Bugle building
  • Sanctuary
  • The Joneses
  • Condo Canyon
  • Chonker's Speedway
  • Rocky Reels
  • Greasy Groves

Fortnite and Destiny 2 Reportedly Crossing Over With Each Other

Fortnite and Destiny 2 Reportedly Crossing Over With Each Other

Fortnite and Destiny 2 are reportedly crossing over with each other, meaning both games will receive skins and content from the other title. Both Fortnite and Destiny 2 are some of the biggest live service games out there. Epic Games has been supporting Fortnite with massive new content drops on a regular basis from skins to grand-scale events that disrupt the entire way the game is seen. It's a really unique experience and one that has continued to evolve for half a decade. Bungie was one of the first developers in the console space to truly imagine a modern live service game, as Destiny was expected to have a "10 year plan", though it kind of crumbled when the developer created Destiny 2 which may be more in line with that initial vision.

With that said, the two revolutionary games will reportedly be crossing over with each other. According to GinsorKR on Twitter, some Fortnite skins were found in Destiny 2. They're actually incredibly cool looking skins, though it's unclear how they'll be incorporated into the Bungie game. Given Destiny 2 features individual pieces of armor that offer certain benefits, it's unknown if this is purely for cosmetics or if these will be part of some kind of larger quest. It's also rumored that Fortnite will get some Destiny 2 content as well, though nothing specific has been mentioned. A new Destiny 2 showcase is slated to take place on August 23rd, so it's likely this info will be announced there.

Fortnite Destiny confirmed pic.twitter.com/U3kZeFY6l8

— Ginsor (@GinsorKR) August 20, 2022

These are Destiny's skins apparently, we still have to see Fortnite's skins selection.

— HYPEX (@HYPEX) August 20, 2022

As of right now, it's unclear just how big this crossover will be in terms of content. Nevertheless, the fact that both games are essentially exchanging content is a new strategy. Usually, a brand will promote its newest product such as a film or game in Fortnite via some skins, but it's rare to see it go both ways. Of course, nothing has been confirmed so some, if not all, of this information could be incorrect so take it with a grain of salt.

Want to know how to unlock the cube cruiser glider in Fortnite? The Halloween season in Fortnite has finally begun as Fortnitemares 2021 kicks off with a bang. The cube cruiser glider is free for all players: all you have to do is complete Dark Jonesy’s quests to add this precious item to your inventory.

Dark Jonesy needs your help – he’s beginning to see visions of the future, but they aren’t as clear as they should be. By completing the oracle quest line, Dark Jonesy will be able to tell us something important about the cube invasion. Fortnitemares 2021 has also introduced new punchcard quests for Ariana Grande and a Ghostbuster – completing all of their challenges rewards players with unique items.

Fortnitemares 2021 won’t be around forever – players have until November 2 to obtain the cube cruiser, an all-weather extractor pickaxe, and a No Ghost backbling. These quests can be difficult to complete while players flock to Dark Jonesy, so it’s worth playing with a friend to give you a helping hand. Here’s everything you need to unlock the cube cruiser glider in Fortnite.

FORTNITE DARK JONESY THE ORACLE SPEAKS CHALLENGES

You can find Dark Jonesy in Steamy Stacks inside the partially destroyed building. Dark Jonesy now has two sets of Fortnite punchcard quests to complete, so make sure you pick the oracle quest line when you approach him.

Collect scrolls at different IO bases

The fastest way to complete the first challenge is to head to the IO base south of Steamy Stacks. Once you start the quest chain, head to the roof of the tallest building in Steamy Stacks to find bubbling purple liquid. Jump into the liquid and deploy your glider when the liquid pushes you into the air.

Fly directly towards the IO base and enter the door next to the black car. Search between large stacked cases inside the building to find a scroll. Once you’ve collected the scroll, head back to the black car you spotted earlier and drive to the IO base located east of The Convergence. You should be able to find another scroll in a similar location to the first IO base. It’s important to note that you don’t need to visit these specific locations; you can visit any IO base on the map.

Use a Shadow Stone, then recover the Spirit Vessel

Head to the corrupted area south east of Holly Hedges and search for a consumable cube to transform yourself into a spirit. You need to find a Spirit Vessel while in this form – these vessels are typically found in front of large trees. Recover the Spirit Vessel next to a tree to complete the quest.

Touch a cube

The fastest way to complete this challenge is to land on The Convergence as soon as you spawn in. Touch any platform in this area to complete the challenge.

Destroy the corruption cluster and all corruption fragments

Corruption clusters are areas just outside corrupted zones which feature purple fragments that respawn after you hit them. You should be able to find a corruption cluster south of The Convergence – attack the purple fragments with your pickaxe in quick succession. You may have to do this multiple times to complete the challenge.

Return the Spirit Vessel to the Oracle and hear his vision

Remember that Spirit Vessel you picked up in the second challenge? All you need to do is talk to Dark Jonesy and give him the item. You don’t have to complete the challenges in the same match, your character always has the Spirit Vessel on hand once you complete the second challenge.

That’s all you need to do to unlock the cube cruiser glider in Fortnite. Not only did you just unlock an awesome glider, there’s a good chance you earned enough experience to level up your battle pass. Head over to our Fortnite skins guide to see what skins are available on each tier of the battle pass.

The 10 best anime skins in Fortnite

The 10 best anime skins in Fortnite

Fortnite players cannot go wrong with spending V-Bucks on one of the battle royale’s many anime skins. Their character models have unique art styles that greatly differ from the game’s typical skin designs and they tend to come off as much more light-hearted and playful. However, with new anime skins now being released more often, it is easy to forget which reign supreme. Here are the 10 best anime skins currently in Fortnite, listed in alphabetical order.

Chigusa

Image via Epic Games

Appearing awfully similar to Rainbow Six Siege’s Ela, the animated Chigusa is a female character decked out in SWAT gear. This includes a black bulletproof vest and a matching baseball cap. As most of her body is covered by a gray raincoat, Chigusa can also be terribly difficult to spot from a distance. This advantage alone has made the skin a must-have, and luckily, she frequents the Item Shop often. Chigusa, along with two other excellent anime skins, is exclusively available in the Cyber Infiltration Pack, a bundle that has made 103 shop appearances since April 2021.

Erisa

Screenshot by Gamepur

Erisa is an Epic-rarity skin that is known for her myriad of outfit combinations. In her basic form, she sports a pair of cat ears, a black leotard, and sharp brass knuckles. However, as she was a part of the Chapter 3 Season 2 Battle Pass, players could work their way up to unlock her optional helmet and cape. These accessories can even change colors when Erisa wears an alternative outfit, such as any of her three glowing Super Level styles.

Kakashi Hatake

Image via Epic Games

You don’t have to be a Naruto fan to love how well Kakashi Hatake’s look translates to the battle royale. The legendary shinobi’s base skin features his signature army green vest with a blue jumpsuit underneath. With his additional outfit styles, players can choose to sub out his Leaf Village headband for either a terrifying cat mask or a completely bare face. The cosmetic has made over 30 shop appearances since its debut in late 2021, so skin collectors should prepare to see it once again very soon.

Lexa

Fortnite
Screenshot by Gamepur

Don’t be mistaken by Lexa’s rather bland appearance. The skin has become a highly valuable anime skin due to her Hunter Protocol Emote. Once activated in-game, the Emote dresses Lexa in an Iron Man-inspired body suit within the blink of an eye. The armored suit’s color will also vary depending on which alternative style you choose to wear with Lexa. Unfortunately, the skin and Emote were only obtainable through the Chapter 2 Season 5 Battle Pass, making Lexa one of the rarest cosmetics on this list.

Megumi

Image via Epic Games

Also included in Cyber Infiltration Pack, Megumi is another anime skin to dawn a combat uniform. Her outfit features a purple crop-top as well as hot pink military pants with grenade and med kit holsters. Though, Megumi becomes arguably the coolest skin in the bundle when accounting for her array of colorful arm tattoos. Once the Cyber Infiltration Pack does return to the store, you can expect to give up just 2,200 V-Bucks for its three skins and additional accessories.

Naruto Uzumaki

Screenshot by Gamepur

This wouldn’t be a credible list without the most popular anime skin of all: Naruto Uzumaki. Although its design does lack some detail, players cannot help but be enamored when spotting the character in-game. Naruto’s Epic-rarity outfit dazzles his iconic black and orange Leaf Village jumpsuit, while its alternative style places the character in an orange coat and a white cape. Despite being listed at a steep 1,500 V-Bucks, the crossover skin does come packaged with his dedicated Scroll Back Bling. Naturo was last available in the Item Shop in July 2022, and anime fans will probably see it again before the end of the year.

Orin

Image via Epic Games

Similar to Chigusa, Orin is known to have a gameplay advantage of his own. Although the character wears just a t-shirt and jeans, its slim figure can make it nearly impossible for enemies to get a well-placed shot. Better yet, those who purchase the skin will also be gifted the Mechafusion Jumpkit, a Back Bling that disperses strips of orange energy waves behind Orin. The anime skin can be found in Item Shop on average of every 36 days and is priced at 1,200 V-Bucks.

Reina

Image via Epic Games

Introduced in December 2021, Reina is the battle royale’s only Christmas-themed anime skin. The female character celebrates the holiday with a traditional Santa coat and short reindeer antlers; though, with a closer look, she is more threatening than she first appears. That is because the skin’s holstered clips of ammo and eye patch make it evident Reina has survived her fair share of firefights. Reina hasn’t been available since her debut, but it is likely she will make her return next holiday season for 1,200 V-Bucks.

Yuki

Image via Epic Games

The Cyber Infiltration Pack is truly a trifecta of delightful anime skins, especially with the inclusion of Yuki. Unlike her counterparts, Yuki is depicted as a young female student with a puffy winter coat that matches her white high-top shoes. She is the only character from the set to have an additional outfit — a style that removes Yuki’s hood to reveal her wearing a large pair of headphones. The Cyber Infiltration Pack even lends owners the SL1C3 Harvesting Tool which shares the same colors as her accessories.

Zoe Clash

Screenshot by Gamepur

Zoe Clash could certainly be in contention for the most adorable Fortnite skin, as well. The Rare cosmetic comes with a belly-high sports jacket, black basketball kicks, and sleek white pants. She is even accompanied by the Sgt. Shiba Back Bling, a massive, stuffed animal that covers her entire back. That said, it is tough to say when Zoe and Shiba will be available again. The cosmetics were last a part of the Mainframe Break Starter Pack that could only be bought during the duration of Chapter 3 Season 2.

Fortnite v19.40 patch notes: end of season event, SpiderMan week, and bug fixes

fortnite season 3 countdown

Finally, after no teases, epic has revealed when the downtime for fortnite chapter 3 season 2 will begin. All signs originally pointed towards fortnite chapter 3 starting on tuesday, 7 december. The live event will take place on june 4 (saturday), and season 3 starts on june 5 (sunday)!

Ahead of the developers’ summer break, Fortnite has released the v21.30 update. It has arrived with the No Sweat Summer event, map changes like Daily Bloomgle, new Prime Shotgun, and more.

The hype for Fortnite v21.30 was sky-scraping because Epic Games will soon go on a break till the second week of August. This means that the battle royale title won’t experience any live changes for the upcoming weeks, and the latest update should ensure that the community doesn’t get bored.

Fortnite v21.30 brings in a No Sweat Insurance NPC, summer-themed POI, and new No Sweat Summer event quests

Fortnite players desperately wanted to celebrate the summer in battle royale modes this time. Luckily, the No Sweat Summer event is here with the v21.30 update.

  • Read More: Fortnite Indiana Jones quests: How to find the secret door in Shuffled Shrines

No Sweat Insurance quests will replace the Vibin quests for the next four weeks as the Scientist’ research regarding the Reality Tree will be halted temporarily.

No Sweat Summer quests

The latest No Sweat Summer quests in Fortnite are:

  • Land after jumping from the Battle Bus during the No Sweat Summer event
  • Carry the No Sweat sign and place it at a sponsorship location
  • Complete a lap around the boat race circuit after the starting countdown
  • Make a Character dance to a Boogie Bom
  • Emote at different promotional dance floor locations
  • Ring doorbells until they break
  • Catch 3 seconds of air while driving a Motorboat
  • Remove No Sweat signs from recalled products
  • Place the No Sweat signs in an official bin
  • Pop No Sweat Summer inflatable objects
  • Jump on umbrellas along the beach
  • Kick a beach ball and kick a giant beach ball
  • Fire off the Firework Flare Gun at Mighty Monument or Tilted Towers
  • Bust through doors in different neighborhoods
  • Destroy large sea buoys with Motorboat Missiles

These quests will grant 15k XP each and a new Sweaty Sailer umbrella glider will be a free reward for completing them. The quests also indicate that the Boogie Bombs will return soon. The goofy item has been a fan-favorite for ages, and it makes perfect sense for it to return during a Vibin’ themed season.

New summer-themed NPCs will now roam around the island. These include:

  • Unpeely
  • Beach Bomber
  • Summer Drift
  • The Underwriter
  • Boardwalk Ruby

The Underwriter is the newest NPC in Fortnite and represents the New Sweat Insurance building from Tilted Towers. In contrast, Unpeely, Beach Bomber, and Boardwalk Ruby are famous characters who always return during the summer.

Fortnite community to vote for Tilted Tower buildings through Rebuild the Block quests

The restoration of Tilted Towers began in Chapter 3 Season 3. Fortnite asked map builders to come up with their best building designs and nine buildings have made the cut.

  • Read More: How to unlock free Xander skin in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3

In the coming weeks, players will donate bars for the construction projects in Tilted Towers. The building design with the most votes will officially become a part of the POI. This will also help players in completing the Rebuild The Block quests:

  • Donate Bars voting for construction projects on The Block
  • Survive Storm Phases during the Rebuild the Block Event
  • Eliminate enemy players during the Rebuild the Block Event
  • Complete Rebuild the Block quest stages (3/7/12).

It is clear that we’ll witness new Rebuild The Block quests every week and the developers are yet to reveal the subsequent stages.

To be fair, the XP crisis in Chapter 3 Season 3 could come to an end now as every Rebuild The Block quest will reward players with 14,000 XP.

New Prime Shotgun and consumable Ice-Cream item enter the loot pool with Fortnite v21.30

A brand-new Prime Shotgun will be available in chests, supply drops, and floor loot with v21.30. The stats of this weapon at Rare rarity are:

  • DPS-88
  • Reload Time-4.5
  • Spread-1
  • Clip size– 4
  • Headshot damage– 138
  • Fire Rate– 1.05

Leaks have revealed that the Prime Shotgun is an explosive weapon with a surprisingly long range for a shotgun. Its damage output is brilliant and the slow fire rate seems to be the only downside.

  • Read More: Rare Fortnite clip shows Darth Vader boss killing a Loot Llama

New consumable items have been added in the form of Ice Cones. These include:

  • Lil Whip’s Special Serve for Health and Shield
  • Guzzling Icecream Cone which slowly heals health
  • Frozen Iceream Cone for Health and it makes things slippery
  • Icecream Cone for Health
  • Spicy Icecream Cone for Health and Shield

Interestingly, the files of the Burst SMG have been updated as well and it might return soon.

Daily Bugle changes to Daily Bloomgle in Fortnite v21.30 and other map changes

Epic Games has continued the amazing map changes in Chapter 3 Season 3 with the latest update. Daily Bugle, under the effect of the Reality Tree, is now called Daily Bloomgle. As usual, it will now switch between themes based on Neo Tilted, Coral Castle, Colossal Coliseum, and more.

The Reality Tree will continue to grow and after Daily Bugle, it’ll reach Condo Canyon.

Last but not least, a summer-themed stage will be set up on the island for No Sweat Summer. This is where players can expect to complete their event-based quests and earn a ton of XP.

Hotfix updates will be released weekly but no major Fortnite updates will arrive for almost a month now. The developers have already added weekly quests till Week 10, and the Dragon Ball Z crossover will be released after the break.

How to get the free PlayStation Plus skin and pickaxe in Fortnite Chapter 3

How to get the free PlayStation Plus skin and pickaxe in Fortnite Chapter 3

Fortnite gives away free cosmetics very often. It's their way of rewarding a very loyal player base. Usually, it's for a reason or a celebration. Right now, they're celebrating PlayStation players.

A free pickaxe and skin is available to certain Fortnite players for free. Here's how to get it.

Getting the PlayStation skin and pickaxe in Fortnite

This skin and pickaxe are both PlayStation exclusives. Only players on PlayStation, either PS4 or PS5, can unlock these. Players have to log in on a PlayStation for this pack, so if other Fortnite players have friends with a PlayStation, that could work, too.

It also requires a PlayStation Plus subscription. Most PlayStation players already have this, since the majority of games require it. However, for those that don't, there are still ways to get it.

PlayStation Fortnite players can sign up for a free trial of PlayStation Plus and either cancel it later or let it expire without renewing it. This will satisfy the requirements and make them eligible for the pack.

The pack will be available on the PlayStation store. Players can search for Fortnite and it will be one of the first few options. It's titled "Fortnite - PlayStation Plus Celebration Pack" and it is totally free.

The Celebration pack is free on the PlayStation store (Image via PlayStation)
The Celebration pack is free on the PlayStation store (Image via PlayStation)

Occasionally, they might encounter an error, but players can try again until it works. Players can claim the pack and then head back home on their PlayStation. Fortnite will need to start from scratch, so if the game is running, it needs to be quit and restarted.

The rewards will be waiting once Fortnite players log in successfully. Interestingly enough, the Sultura skin is part of the Brute Force set, which is home to the Brutus skin.

The skin doesn't come with anything but the accompanying Cymitar pickaxe. There is no back bling, no glider, no contrail or anything else, but players can make combos with the items they have available.

Toby Fox, the developer behind indie hits Undertale and Deltarune, has revealed he is helping compose the music for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Following the newest trailer for the ninth-generation Pokemon games dropping earlier this morning, Fox took to Twitter to announce the collaboration, writing, "I had the honor of composing the field music for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet! After creating a concept sketch, Game Freak arranged it into many versions that you'll hear throughout the game. You can hear a bit of it in this trailer..."

I had the honor of composing the field music for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet! After creating a concept sketch, Game Freak arranged it into many versions that you'll hear throughout the game. You can hear a bit of it in this trailer... https://t.co/dhjv4e9fQN

— tobyfox (@tobyfox) June 1, 2022

Fox then confirmed the field music isn't the only piece he arranged for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. According to Fox, we can expect a few more of his original tracks to be featured throughout the games and, unlike in Pokemon Sword and Shield, this time his music is "not optional." The composer's comment is in reference to his work on Sword and Shield's Battle Tower theme, which only plays in an optional area players can explore after completing the game.

I know that there is a very similar post the this one right below me, but it swear it's just a coincidence) undyne (outfit) I heard that sans might make it into fortnite, so i had to make a concept of how i imagine it looking like. Now there’s a neat little piece of undertale.

Now Playing: Twitter Reacts To New Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Trailer | GameSpot News

Prior to his work on Pokemon Sword and Shield, Fox worked with Game Freak on the studio's 2019 title Little Town Hero. Currently, the developer is working on the next three chapters of Deltarune, which are scheduled to release simultaneously. Set in a parallel universe to Undertale, Deltarune is a pixel-art RPG that follows a teenage human named Kris on their journey to save the world. Fox has stated the game will consist of seven chapters, two of which are already available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Switch.

While we're still not certain when the next chapters of Deltarune might drop, you can catch Fox's iconic tunes in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet when the games hit Nintendo Switch on November 18.

leelah skin fortnite

The minecraft skin, leelah | fortnite, was posted by choasthm. Here's a render i made using the skin download skin now! Coloring pages beauty and the beast.

PlayStation 5 players rejoice, as Epic Games has now released the Fortnite update 1.000.057 patch this March 1, and this one is for the major v19.40 patch! Check out what’s new in the Fortnite February 1 patch notes below.

Fortnite Update 1.000.057 Patch Notes | Fortnite Update 19.40 Patch Notes | Fortnite March 1 Patch Notes:

Battle Royale

Amazing Web Week

The v19.40 update presents Amazing Web Week! From March 1 at 9 AM ET to March 8, 2022, at 8:59 AM ET, find Spider-Man’s Web Shooters as Chest loot on the Island. (In addition to their regular spots!) If you want even more airtime — or just wanna send villains out of your sights — Bouncers will be unvaulted for Amazing Web Week. Find them on the ground and from Supply Drops!

While in aerial action, you can complete “Amazing Web Week” Quests for extra XP. 🕸

Amazing Web Week in Fortnite

A new themed week will begin after Amazing Web Week ends. This week starts March 8 at 9 AM ET, bringing with it a new batch of special Quests. Stay tuned for more info!

Proximity Voice Chat in Impostors

Fortnite Impostors

v19.40 enhances the Voice version of Impostors! The “Impostors (Voice)” playlist now uses proximity voice chat, meaning who you hear is based on who’s around your character. As before, voice communication is split between players who are and aren’t eliminated, while mixing both the Agents and Impostors together. Even though eliminated players can’t voice chat with non-eliminated players, they can still hear them to keep up with the drama.

Players who prefer no voice communication can still select the “Impostors” playlist (which has Quick Chat enabled only).

Adjust the Time of Day in Replays

On platforms that support Fortnite replays, you can now change the time of day when playing back a replay! This can be done for replays that take place in Battle Royale or in Creative Islands where the time of day hasn’t been set by the Island’s creator.

To adjust the time of day in a replay, select the camera settings (denoted by the camera with the gear in the middle), navigate to the clock icon, then use the slider to choose the time of day you want. You can also choose to pause the time of day.

Competitive Notes

  • The Amazing Web Week loot change and Bouncer addition are not included in competitive playlists.

Major Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue involving Outfits sometimes glowing with a bright blue “hologram” effect in the Lobby.
  • Fixed the issue in which POI names would appear on the map only in English regardless of your selected language.

Creative:

The v19.40 update brings a brand new device in the Guard Spawner! Along with the Guard Spawner, we’ve updated several additional devices, and are introducing island trailers into Fortnite Discover in the v19.40 update.

Creators, remember the Fortnite Creative Documentation Site is updated every patch with additional details, use cases, and thought starters for newly released and updated devices.

Island Trailers in Fortnite Discover

Big news, island trailers are now live v19.40! Make sure to check out the Submitting your Fortnite Creative island for Discover blog post for all the updated criteria for trailers when submitting your island.

If you have ever uploaded an island trailer with your island through the Discover submission form, your trailer will autoplay above the game tile when a player selects your island in Discover. If you need to update your island trailer, it is recommended that you resubmit your island with the updated trailer using the Discover submission form.

As an additional note, audio will not be supported at the time of launch. Also, if a trailer is uploaded it will supersede the current render image when a player expands your game to learn more. Both your image and the video are important to bringing players to your game, however if you only want to use an image for your experience, do not add a trailer when using the submission form.

New: Guard Spawner

Be on your Guard!  Or at least tell your players to be, since this update sees the full release of the Guard Spawner to Fortnite Creative.  The Guard Spawner shares a lot in common with the Creature Spawner, so if you’re used to working with Fiends you’ll get to grips with Guards in no time at all.  We’ll leave you to discover all the details yourselves, but some of the highlights of the system include:

  • Choose from 8 different Guard skins.
  • Drop a compatible weapon or consumable on the Guard Spawner to have the Guards from that spawner equip it.
    • Add multiple items to have the Guards select randomly from the available pool.
    • Use the Guard filter on the weapon and consumable inventory screens to find which items are compatible with the Guard Spawner.
  • Control patrol radius around the spawner.
  • Assign Guards to teams.
  • Adjust many of their attributes, including awareness, accuracy and health.
  • The maximum number of Guards which can be active is 30 – this is a separate limit from the limits for Fiends and Animals.
  • Several other devices including the Elimination Manager and Mutator Zone have been updated to allow them to interact properly with Guards.

As a bonus, here are some tips from our design team:

  • Friendly Fire settings affect Guards as well as players, so be careful with them!
  • Sneaky Snowman, Creeping Cardboard and other hideables will allow players to avoid being spotted… as long as they don’t move when the Guards are watching!
  • Avoid placing the spawner on very uneven ground or in places where pathfinding is likely to be an issue.
  • Avoid spawning too many Guards in a small radius since this could adversely affect performance on some platforms as well as cause pathfinding problems.
  • When Patrol settings are turned off, Guards will act like sentries – but they will move when they spot someone or when they engage in combat.

Known Issues: Guard eliminations are not currently tracked properly by the Tracker device.

New: Supply Drop Spawner

Incoming!  We’ve added a new device to let you create your own Supply Drops with a whole host of configuration options.  Now you can rain gifts down on your players for them to rejoice over or fight over – your choice!

  • Add your own selection of items.
  • Configure where and how often it drops.
  • Add class and team restrictions.
  • Extensive trigger/receiver support.

Update: Round Settings – Enable Matchmaking

The ability to turn matchmaking off has been available on the Round Settings device for some time now.  With this update we’ve now added the ability to turn it back on as well!  Combined with the recently released Player Counter device, you can now monitor the number of players in your game and turn the flow of new players on and off to keep your game running at your ideal capacity.

Update: Tracker Device Persistence

  • The Tracker Device now has the option to persist data between sessions, allowing you to create longer, more involved quests or tasks that can be completed over multiple play sessions.
    • This includes options for resolving conflicts when multiple players have shared trackers with different amounts of progress.

Update: Item Granter

  • The Item Granter has had two new features added:
    • You can now choose to spawn granted items at a player’s location rather than directly into their inventory – useful if you want a player to leave a breadcrumb trail or just to allow other players to be able to pick up the item when it is granted.
    • You can now choose to simply not grant items if the player’s inventory is full, rather than automatically dropping the excess items at the player’s location.

Update: Campfire Stoking, Damage and Repel

  • The Campfire has had several new options added:
    • You can now allow players to stoke the fire (add fuel) while it is still burning, rather than having to wait for it to run out before re-lighting.
    • The campfire can now repel enemy fiends and animals.  Enemies which enter the campfire’s area of effect will flee from it for a few seconds before attempting to re-acquire targets.
    • The campfire can now also damage fiends and animals which enter its area of effect.

Other Feature Updates

  • Added some fantasy background music tracks to the Radio device.
  • Added support for larger resource numbers in the UI and increased the maximum resource cap to 2.1 Billion.
    • This applies to Gold Coins and other resources, but not building materials such as Wood, Stone and Metal.

Prefab & Gallery Updates

  • Added 3 New Prefabs
    • Background Snow Dunes Small
    • Background Snow Dunes Medium
    • Background Snow Dunes Large
  • Added 3 New Galleries
    • Background Snow Dunes Gallery
    • Tall Grass Gallery A – The tall grass featured on the Chapter 3 Battle Royale map
    • Tall Grass Gallery B – A unique Creative version of tall grass
  • Added an International Women’s Day flag to General Props Gallery A

Known Issues: We are aware of a material issue happening when using the Background Snow Dunes on Nintendo Switch.

Prefab & Gallery Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with a corrupted Trim asset from The Spire set.
  • Fixed an issue with The Spire Base, from The Spire Tower Gallery, from sounding like metal when walked upon.
  • Fixed a resource material issue with the circular rug from The Spire set.
  • Fixed an issue with the Piano Gallery spawning assets outside of the blue preview volume.

Device Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused damageable props to be unrepairable.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Fire Volume to not ignite when above ground level.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Button Device to not rest the Fishing Zone correctly.
  • Fixed an issue with the ATK vehicle spawner that caused it to remain stuck in place.
  • Fixed an issue with devices that use light beam to properly collide with environments after being scaled.
  • Fixed an issue with the item granter that caused it not to grant items to players when using random setting.
  • Fixed an issue where campfires could not be placed

Gameplay Fixes

  • Fixed an issue when switching teams that caused players to see the change above the players count.
  • Fixed an issue that caused campfires to appear unlit for players joining in progress
  • Fixed an issue that caused players to get sent back to the frontend after the in game matchmaking countdown timer ends.
  • Fixed an issue that caused team select settings in Creative mode to not carry over when the game started
  • Fixed an issue with fires not damaging players in certain situations
  • Fixed an issue with players being unable to repair structures that are on fire
  • Fixed an issue where wildlife was not navigating correctly when indestructible walls were hidden
  • Several issues fixed regarding supply drops

UI Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where XP reward UI was not displaying correctly

The original Winnie the Pooh book entered the public domain in the US this January meaning that Disney no longer holds exclusive rights to the characters as depicted in the original novel. Now a horror retelling’s first full trailer has landed and it really looks terrifying.

Piglet looks pretty miffed off (Image: ITN STUDIOS)

Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey sees Pooh and Piglet go on a brutal rampage after being abandoned by Christopher Robin when he grew up and went to college.

During that time, the cuddly pair went feral and unhinged, killing and eating Eeyore in the process. Christopher had hoped to introduce his wife to them but perhaps that wasn’t a good idea.

The low-budget horror was shot in the UK over a period of 10 days, with the production being careful not to include Pooh’s red T-shirt which is associated with the Disney incarnation.

Every Peely Skin in Fortnite & How to Get Them All

secret code to get every skin in fortnite

Peely is one of the most popular original characters in Fortnite, but how many skins does the fan-favorite banana have now and how do you unlock them all?

The Fortnite skins that often get the most attention are its crossovers. And there’s good reason for that, as Epic Games’ Battle Royale does cameos from other franchises better than any other game out there.

Just look at all the new anime-themed skins coming to Fortnite right now.

But some of the game’s best skins have been original creations.

When it comes to Peely, the unlikely hero has been featured a few times in Fortnite’s history. So let’s take a look at every Peely skin in Fortnite to date, and how each one was unlocked.

Fortnite: How to Unlock All Peely Skins

Peely

Fortnite Peely

First Appearance: Chapter 1 Season 8
How to Unlock: Tier 47 of Season 8 Battle Pass

The original, and possibly the best Peely was part of the Season 8 Battle Pass and quickly became a hit with players. This skin is reactive, starting out a greenish-yellow and ripening as the match progresses.

Although the Peely we all know and love is a single character, there are actually a great many Peely variants in its tribe. And after the recent Collision live event, it’s safe to say that our Peely is now a certified hero (as if he wasn’t already).

Seemingly, Peely was first created when Jonesy took a banana into a rift. Whatever the case, we’re glad he’s here.

P-1000

P-1000 Peely Fortnite

First Appearance: Chapter 1 Season X
How to Unlock: Purchase P-1000’s Challenge Pack ($19.99)

In the trailer for the original Fortnite Season 9, Jonesy and Peely were trapped in a bunker together with plenty of entertainment… and no food. As such, the duo survived by blending Peely into a smoothie – though he seems happy enough.

To make up for his actions, Jonesy later built Peely a mechanical suit, culminating in the P-1000. This skin was available through the P-1000 Challenge Pack in Season X.

The P-1000 still features smoothie Peely at its head, presumably controlling its Iron-Man-esque robot body.

Peely Bone

Peely Bone Fortnite

First Appearance: Chapter 2 Season 1
How to Unlock: Item Shop (1500 V-Bucks)

Peely Bone made his debut in Chapter 2 Season 1, revealing a horrifying truth. Although he looks like a fruit, it appears that Peely is actually half-human, with a skeleton and organs beneath his banana flesh.

How does this make sense with the blending storyline you ask? Try not to think too hard about it.

Peely Bone was introduced as part of the Fortnitemares event, and comes alongside a Xylo-bone Emote that has him playing his ribcage like a xylophone.

Agent Peely

Agent Peely Fortnite

First Appearance: Chapter 2 Season 2
How to Unlock: Tier 1 of Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass

It didn’t take long for Peely to return once again, as Epic Games debuted its Spy-themed season. This time around, regular Peely is back, decked out in a stylish secret agent tuxedo.

Agent Peely was available as the first rewards in the Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass, as part of the Banana Royale set. With the description ‘He’s got a license to peel.’ Agent Peely is clearly inspired by James Bond.

What’s more, given that he’s got both a Ghost and Shadow variant of the skin, Agent Peely is technically a double agent. Getting to level 300 in the Battle Pass also unlocked a solid gold version of Agent Peely.

Unpeely

Unpeely Skin Fortnite

First Appearance: Chapter 2 Season 3
How to Unlock: Purchase Summer Legends Pack ($19.99)

So far, Unpeely is the only Peely skin to have the character completely shed his banana peel. The costume comes with two variant channels, allowing players to remove his hat and/or sunglasses.

Unpeely is meant as a summer remix of the original skin, coming alongside Summer Fable and Tropical Punch Zoey in the in-game store.

This version of Peely is definitely one of our favorites, but it’s slightly unnerving to imagine the skeleton that we now know lies within.

Potassius Peels

Potassius Peels Fortnite

First Appearance: Chapter 2 Season 6
How to Unlock: Item Shop (1200 V-Bucks)

It’s been some time since Potassius Peels appeared in the Fortnite Item Shop but this Rare skin variant does return on a semi-regular basis. The skin is inspired by Roman emperors, in particular Julius Caeser himself.

While Potassius Peels only appeared in Season 6, the skin made its debut as a state in the Colossal Coliseum POI the season prior. Fans initially dubbed the then-upcoming skin as Peelius Caeser.

Interestingly, Potassius Peels is the first Peely skin to not be Epic in rarity.

P33LY

P33LY Fortnite

First Appearance: Chapter 2 Season 8
How to Unlock: Purchase Tech Future Pack ($17.99)

Peely gears up in style with his P33LY skin. With an emotive electronic visor and a full-body techware suit, the banana is ready for action.

According to his description, P33LY is an assassin, which explains why he’s looking to stick to the shadows with his new outfit.

The Tech Future Pack also includes NeuraLynx, CRZ-8, and a variety of high-tech equipment. But we know you’re really just interested in P33LY and his new NanaTech Blade.

Polar Peely

Polar Peely Fortnite

First Appearance: Chapter 3 Season 1
How to Unlock: Open a Present During Winterfest 2021

As a little holiday surprise, Polar Peely was available as a present in Sgt. Winter’s Cabin from December 16, 2021 – January 6, 2022. Players could open a new present each day, one of which contained this frozen Peely variant.

As well as his blue recolor, Polar Peely also features additional snow and ice all over his body.

He’s also the only Peely skin to be completely free, with no purchase of any kind required!

Toon Peely

Toon Peely Fortnite

First Appearance: Chapter 3 Season 1
How to Unlock: Purchase Inkville Gang Pack (2300 V-Bucks)

Technically, Toon Peely was first seen in the Kablammo! spray, part of the Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass. However, just a few seasons later, the skin would become a reality, thanks to the Inkville Gang Pack.

Toon Peely comes alongside a Nanner Shake backbling, and Nanner Hammer. The pack also includes a toon variant of Bushranger and more toon items.

KAWSPEELY

Kawspeely Fortnite

First Appearance: Chapter 3 Season 3
How to Unlock: Item Shop (1200 V-Bucks)

KAWSPEELY is the latest but certainly not greatest Peely skin in Fortnite. A crossover variant from the premium brand KAWS, the skin was created as a collaboration with artist Brian Donnely.

This isn’t the first time that KAWS has appeared in Fortnite, but it’s interesting to see it crossover with a familiar character this time around.

Featuring crosses for eyes, cartoon gloves and shoes, as well as the KAWS crossbones, we’re sure this skin will get more than a few sales from Peely collectors. But that isn’t stopping it from being ripped to shreds by the game’s online community.

That’s all for Peely skins so far, but we can bet that more are certainly coming in the near future! After all, the next Fortnite season’s release date is just around the corner.
