fortnite ecstasy
On Monday, school attendance monitors and Millennial employers should expect a sag in attendance. They can blame it on a comet and an online game that has captured the imagination of a young worldwide audience.
April 30 marks the end of Season 3 of Fortnite: Battle Royale, the hottest online game of the year among gamers, and it also likely means the reveal on the biggest mystery of the season: what will the blue comet that’s been streaking toward the map all season finally destroy?
Epic Games, the makers of Fortnite, have been teasing players all season, and rumors have abounded in the online gaming world as to what targets the comet will take out – will it be Tilted Towers? Perhaps Dusty Depot. Whatever happens, it’s sure to send a certain segment into a combination of agony and ecstasy as the season ends. As of Sunday night, fragments were already striking the map, and the final superhero skin has been added, which many see as a prelude to the theme of the upcoming Season 4.
When Season 4 starts is a matter of conjecture. The game has a 4 AM turn, but it’s unclear whether Season 3 will immediately be followed by Season 4. It likely will have to do with the finale and the comet.
