pg 2.5 fortnite
NBA superstar (if you’d call him that) Paul George debuted a new pair of his signature Nike PG 2.5’s earlier this year during the E3 Fortnite Pro-Am tournament that fans have since referred to as his Fortnite shoes. Even though there’s no direct collaboration between Epic and Nike on these shoes — unlike the PG PlayStation branded Nike’s — the name has stuck and these Racer Blue’s have since become synonymous with the world’s most popular game.
Anyway, those blue Nike’s are finally releasing next week on August 15 and will retail for $110. While I know some of the gamers and sneakerheads out there might be looking to go grab these next week, I’d suggest you don’t bother. I’d rather wear trash bags around my feet, personally.
Paul George is kind of like that meme of Timmy Turner’s dad from The Fairly OddParents pointing to an empty pedestal saying, “If I had one!” except in Paul George’s case he’s referring to hitting a game-winning shot. Let’s also not forget that the self-proclaimed “Playoff P” couldn’t even get out of the first round of the playoffs this year against the Utah Jazz. That’s right, even though he might have gone off in Game 1, “Playoff P” was almost nowhere to be seen the rest of the series and got manhandled by rookie Donovan Mitchell. I repeat: a rookie.
Let’s also not forget that PG, one of the supposed best players in the league, was traded away from the Indiana Pacers for a player that is now vastly better than him in Victor Oladipo. That’s gotta be pretty shameful for our poor buddy Paul, let alone the GM of the Thunder. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the upcoming NBA season to kick off so we can once again watch Paul George get thrashed in the first round of the playoffs. Should be tons of fun!
Anyway, you can buy those Fortnite shoes next week if you’d like but I would suggest you just go ahead and wait for Victor Oladipo to get his own line of shoes instead. That’ll be some money much better spent.
