The LCS Spring split saw the rise of rookie champions Evil Geniuses, who’ve gained international renown for their rookie talents Joseph ‘Jojopyun’ Joonpyun and Kyle ‘Danny’ Sakamaki.
After being thoroughly humiliated in a 3-0 defeat by EG in the Spring finals, 100 Thieves had a score to settle in Summer. While they weren’t able to best EG in the standings, 100 Thieves still managed to cement themselves as a fantastic team and take second place.
After their worst split ever, TSM made numerous roster changes to try and repair the damage done by their unsuccessful Spring run. They managed to make it into playoffs, but TSM still has a long way to go if they want to restore their former greatness. Can they make a miracle run?

LCS Summer 2022: Teams & players
10 teams will take part in LCS Summer 2022. While the offseason didn’t see too many drastic roster changes, many LCS teams have made roster changes mid-season in an effort to qualify for the 2022 World Championship, which will take place in cities across the US and Mexico later this year.
The most notable offseason change came from Cloud9, who role-swapped Ibrahim ‘Fudge’ Allami back into the top lane and brought back legacy mid laner Nicolaj ‘Jensen’ Jensen.
Since the start of the Summer Split, Golden Guardians have swapped out everyone but Eric ‘Licorice’ Ritchie, GG’s top laner, at least once. TSM have also had a revolving door roster with only Mingyi ‘Spica’ Lu and Huang ‘Maple’ Yi-Tang staying at the roster’s core through the split.
Golden Guardians taking Dignitas’ junger, Kim ‘River’ Dong-woo, forced Dignitas to start Lawrence ‘eXyu’ Lin-Xu. This change shortly followed Trevor ‘Spawn’ Kerr-Taylor getting swapped onto Dignitas’ LCS roster when Toàn ‘Neo’ Trần got sent to Academy.
