If you’ve ever wanted to own a slice of history from one of the greatest fantasy TV shows of all time, now is your chance. Soon, props from Game of Thrones and Vikingsseason 6 will go under the hammer in County Laois, in the Republic of Ireland.
The auction takes place on Monday, July 26. It is hosted by long-time TV prop auctioneer Sean Eacrett. The vast majority of props come from the long-running historical drama Vikings. Hundreds of items are up for grabs, but the stand-out props include King Alfred’s throne, Ivar’s throne, King Aelle’s throne, and Floki’s table. The trio of thrones have an estimated price point of around €300-500 each, a small price to be a King or Queen.
As well as the sought-after thrones, there are plenty of other props from the show up for sale. Sure, they’re not as regal, but there are a few Viking shields, cabinets, and cauldrons on the list.
Buy a prop from the Red Keep throne room
For Game of Thrones fans hunting for props, things aren’t quite as high-profile. No, you can’t get your hands on the Iron Throne or Oathkeeper. You can, however, walk home with two pretty beautiful huge metal candelabras that were featured in the show. With a price estimated around €400-€800, they could be a steal… especially if you live in a castle.
There’s no word where exactly in the show these specific props can be seen — there are lots of candelabras throughout the series — although they look like the ones that can be seen in the Iron Throne Room in the Red Keep.

Sean Eacrett knows a thing or two about collecting props. He’s been auctioneering items from Irish film sets since 2016. Speaking to BesfastLive, he revealed how he got into the business: “I was dealing with a client in the antiques world a few years ago, who mentioned that he was the production manager on Penny Dreadful, a series that was being filmed in Dublin at the time, so I suggested that if he ever wanted to sell the props and costumes after filming to let me know, and it turned out he was up for it.”
Chances are you aren’t based in Ireland and can’t attend the auction in person, but fear not. The auction is open for online bidding at LiveAuctioneers.com. See the full list featuring literally hundreds of items here.
