Fortnite: Marvel's ShangChi is latest leaked superhero skin

With the new Shang-Chi movie releasing tomorrow, it looks like Fortnite is adding the title character as a skin alongside it.

Between the Wonder Woman and Superman skins, Fortnite has been on a bit of a DC kick with the current season. So, it looks like Epic Games is ready to give Marvel a bit more love by adding a skin based on the main character of the upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend Of The Ten Rings movie.

It hasn’t been officially announced yet but, like most other Fortnite skins, it’s been leaked ahead of time thanks to prominent leaker and dataminer HYPEX.

Not only have they found in-game footage of the Shang-Chi skin, but also images of his associated cosmetics, like a Great Protector’s Shield back bling and the Blades of Brother’s Hand pickaxe.

HYPEX hasn’t shared a release date but, considering the movie will release tomorrow in the US, and leaked skins tend to be discovered shortly before they’re announced, you can safely assume an announcement and release within the next few days.

It’s also believed that a new countdown will appear tomorrow above the battle royale island, since one sometimes accidentally appears as a placeholder. Rather than signify a new music concert like the Ariana Grande one, this one is probably meant to count down to the current season’s end.

Again, Epic itself hasn’t shared an official end date for the season but, on August 29, HYPEX claimed that the next season, Season 8, will begin in two weeks’ time.

Epic usually doesn’t share details for new seasons until they actually start, but a previous leak may have already confirmed some of Season 8’s planned content. According to the same source which correctly predicted the Ariana Grande concert, Epic wants to add Naruto, star of the hit manga and anime series of the same name, as a skin.

The supposed leak specifically says that Epic is ‘trying’ to get Naruto for the season’s battle pass, so there’s no guarantee it could happen should Epic fail to reach an agreement or changes its plans.

Fortnite is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
