UPDATE: Epic Games has released the new Fortnite Astronomical Challenges into the game, following the launch of update 12.41 today on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile.
The dev team has confirmed that there are now three Fortnite Challenges to complete which will reward you with a new banner icon, spray, Loading Screen, and Rage emote, and it appears that they will all be available to use during the Travis Scott Live Event on April 23.
For now, gamers cannot access any new Fortnite Travis Scott skins for free on any platform and they look set to hit the Store in the near future.
The Fortnite Astronomical Challenges include:
- Dance for ten seconds at The Yacht or Apres Ski.
- Bounce off of five different Astro heads.
- Visit the stage north of Sweaty Sands.
ORIGINAL: New Fortnite Astronomical Challenges are being released this week by Epic Games, and it won’t be long before they go live. As part of the upcoming Travis Scott Astronomical Concert, gamers will be able to unlock new loot on all platforms. And the good news is that some of this stuff will be going live before the live event, which is scheduled to begin on April 23.
FORTNITE ASTRONOMICAL CHALLENGES AND TRAVIS SCOTT SKINS
As confirmed by Epic Games this week, a new list of Fortnite Astronomical Challenges will be released on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
We don’t know exactly what this will include but you can bet some stuff will be directly tied to the Travis Scott live event.
From what has been shared so far, Travis Scott will be joining the Icon Series and this will mean being able to collect and unlock new outfits and emotes.
Some of these have already been teased and no doubt will be concert-themed. It appears that gamers will be able to unlock new loot by completing new Challenges, and by attending the Astronomical live event.
By attending the concert, players will unlock the Astroworld Cyclone Glider and two loading screens for free.
It will be interesting to see how all the other stuff, including the new emotes, will be unlocked through challenges.
Here’s the latest information from Epic Games:
“From April 23-25, blast off into a one of a kind musical journey featuring Travis Scott and the world premiere of a brand new track. Astronomical is an other-worldly experience inspired by Cactus Jack’s creations, built from the ground up in Fortnite.
To make sure everyone has a chance to experience Astronomical, we’re setting up multiple tour dates with showtimes for players around the globe. Jump into whichever time fits your schedule best, or catch an encore with your friends if they missed it.
“Arriving before Astronomical, we’re excited to announce that Travis Scott is the newest addition to the Icon Series.
"Get his Outfits, Emotes, and more starting April 21. And if you attend any of the Astronomical events, you’ll score this Astroworld Cyclone Glider and two loading screens for free!
“Starting April 21, you can unlock even more free gear by completing the Astronomical Challenges.
“Doors open 30 minutes before each show, so get there early to secure your spot. Our goal is to accommodate everyone possible, but if capacity is reached, please join us for one of the other shows.
“The Astronomical tour dates are NOT region locked, but we’ve selected times to make sure everyone has a chance to attend.”
When it comes to a Challenges start time, Epic Games has provided an exact guide on how they plan to release its new content.
A new Fortnite update is being launched on April 21, meaning we might learn more soon after it’s available to download.
The downtime starts at 7am BST and means we might have an update, or possibly the new Fortnite Challenges, by around 9am BST.
A message from Epic Games adds: “v12.41 is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21. Downtime begins at 2 AM ET (0600 UTC).”
