Epic Games adds a new 'Boneless' emote to Fortnite that some fans think is based on the way UFC star Conor McGregor sometimes walks around the Octagon.
While skins may get most of the attention when it comes to Fortnite's cosmetics, there's no denying that the game's emotes are popular as well. Epic Games continues to add new emotes to Fortnite for fans to purchase with V-Bucks, with the newest one seemingly inspired by controversial UFC star Conor McGregor.
The new "Boneless" emote in Fortnite appears to be based on the unique way Conor McGregor walks in the Octagon, though with more exaggerated motions. However, if the emote is indeed based on McGregor's signature walk as some fans have theorized, Epic Games has yet to admit to it.

While it's easy to see how some may believe that Epic is basing the new emote on Conor McGregor, it's also possible that the similarities are a complete coincidence. After all, the Fortnite emote sees the characters shake their arms in a much more exaggerated fashion, whereas McGregor's walk is far less theatrical.
Then again, it wouldn't be the first time Epic Games added a real world emote to Fortnite. Just recently, the studio added an emote based on the Orange Shirt Kid, who became popular despite his dance not winning Epic's Boogiedown contest.
Future emotes in Fortnite may also take real world inspiration. In fact, Drake has promised to rap about Fortnite if Epic adds a Hotline Bling emote to the game. As of the time of this writing, Epic has yet to take Drake up on his offer, but with new cosmetics being added to the popular battle royale game on a regular basis, it seems like it's only a matter of time before it makes its debut.
Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
